About Andrew
Dr. Andrew Eppelsheimer, also known as “Dr. Epp,” is a Charleston native. He was raised on Isle of Palms until the age of ten when his family made the transition to Mount Pleasant. Dr. Epp and his family have always had a passion for animals. Growing up, his family had everything from dogs and cats to birds.
He attended Wando High School where he received a Division I athletic scholarship to attend and play soccer for Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in biology from Wofford College, Dr. Epp knew veterinary school was in his future. He completed his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University and spent his clinical year at the University of Florida. Dr. Epp started his career practicing emergency medicine in Saint Augustine, FL. Since Charleston has always been home, he returned in 2015 and worked for six years in his hometown of Mount Pleasant. He enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but has a strong interest in dental care, soft tissue surgery, urgent care and client education. What he loves the most is making a difference to every client and patient he meets! While in veterinary school he met his wife, Marcela, also a veterinarian. They share their home with their two beautiful daughters Amelia and Elena as well as 2 dogs and a cat- Bouy, a 10 year-old German Shorthaired Pointer; Trout, a 5 year-old rescue; and Casper, a 5 yr old domestic short hair. When Dr. Epp is not being a veterinarian you can find him on a boat with his family fishing and exploring the South Carolina coast.
