About Dr. Wadel

Dr. Adeline Wadel grew up in Medina, Ohio. She first dreamed of becoming a veterinarian in Kindergarten. She was a big dog lover when she was younger, but turned into a cat lover during veterinary school.

She is a 2016 graduate of Kent State University in Kent, Ohio with a bachelor of science in Zoology. She then moved to Auburn, Alabama to become a member of the 2020 graduating class of the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. During her clinical rotations at Auburn, she fell in love with emergency medicine. At the end of her veterinary schooling in March of 2020, Dr. Wadel moved to Mount Pleasant for two months to complete her preceptorship, where she met Dr. Epp! Dr. Epp mentored her on how general practice works outside of a school setting.

After graduation in 2020, she went through an emergency veterinary training program called EmERge with a well-known emergency and specialty company, BluePearl Veterinary Partners, at their San Antonio, Texas location. In early 2023, Dr. Epp and Dr. Jim reached out to her with an amazing opportunity to help start an urgent care service at Marsh Tide Veterinary Hospital and the rest is history!

Dr. Wadel is passionate about walking clients through the emotions of difficult emergent and urgent situations with their pets. She prides herself on being honest, straightforward, and realistic when working side-by-side with her clients as a team to give their pets the best care. She has a special interest in feline medicine, emergency care, nutrition, and laceration repairs.

Outside of work, Dr. Wadel enjoys serving actively in her local church, cooking new recipes, and hitting the gym. She has 4 cats: one grey tabby named Pepper and three Siamese cats named Lil Bean, Chip, and Dale. She is looking forward to exploring Mount Pleasant and the surrounding area with her soon-to-be husband, Andrew.
